Patrick Brown, Business Development, is driven by the desire to make a meaningful impact on the people around him while helping grow Terraco Construction’s business one customer at a time. Prior to his current position, he was President of Texas Re-Excavation; a successful excavation company based regionally in the Southwest U.S.
In terms of personal philosophy, Patrick believes that a great deal can be learned by speaking less and listening more and that one should always learn from his/her failures and successes. People describe him as driven, direct and dependable. (He describes himself as passionate, loyal and honest)
His approach to business development is to NOT be a typical salesman; instead, he is committed to being someone who goes out and builds relationships with his customers daily. From that, mutually beneficial relationships and friendships that last a lifetime are formed.
A favorite quote:
“Associate yourself with people of good quality, for it is better to be alone than in bad company.” ~ Booker T. Washington
Why? Because he finds this quote applicable during most stages of life – from the grade school playground to college to the friends you keep when married to the company you choose to work for.
His background includes:
* B.A. degree, Public Relations, Baylor University (Waco, TX)
* B.A. degree, History, Baylor University (Waco, TX)
Now time permitting, he volunteers with the 2nd Saturday Ministry each month to help restore homes and businesses in the West Dallas area.
Patrick is the proud father of four children – three girls (10, 8 and 3 months) and a 2-year old boy. Patrick is married to his amazing wife who sings for the Dallas Symphony and the majority of their free time is spent chasing them all around the house. As for hobbies, he says ‘who has time for hobbies?’ but enjoys the occasional round of golf.
